Medialink Opens 1st Haikyu!! Final Film in Indonesia on May 29

Indonesian cinema chain CGV Cinemas revealed on Wednesday that Medialink's Indonesian screening for HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle, the first film in the two-part Haikyu!! Final sequel film project, will open in Indonesia on May 29. The film will have both regular and 4DX screenings.

MediaLink will also screen the film in Singapore, the Philippines (May 15), Malaysia (May 16), Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and India. Medialink also opened the film in Hong Kong and Macau on April 11, and in Taiwan on April 12.

The film premiered in Japan on February 16 and is also screening in IMAX. Susumu Mitsunaka (first, third Haikyu!! television anime) both directed and wrote the script for the film.

The film has sold a total of 7,228,000 tickets, and earned a cumulative total of 10,281,636,330 yen (about US$66.36 million) as of May 5.

The film sold 1,529,000 tickets and earned 2,230,465,540 yen (about US$14.83 million) in its first three days of screening.
