Gundam's Advance of Zeta Spinoff Manga Cancelled Due to Artist's Health

The July issue of Kadokawa's Dengeki Daioh magazine announced on Tuesday Yū Akiba's serialization of the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam spinoff manga Advance of Zeta: Toki ni Aragaishi Mono has been canceled.
The manga went on hiatus in the magazine's November 2013 issue due to the author's health, and since the illness has become a long-lasting one, the staff decided to cancel the manga. The staff of the magazine apologized to the fans of Sunrise, the author of the original novels, and the manga.
Akiba began serializing the manga in November 2012, and Kadokawa shipped the first compiled volume of the manga last September. The manga is based on Junichi Kamino's novel series of the same name that ASCII Media Works began publishing in its Dengeki Hobby Magazine in 2010. The novel series mostly takes place in UC 0085 (when Van is 18 years old) and later. ASCII Media Works published the third compiled novel of the series' second arc in 2012.
