Crunchyroll Licensing VP Rob Pereyda Steps Down
posted on by Egan Loo
Rob Pereyda, the vice president of licensing at the media-distribution website Crunchyroll, is stepping down on Friday. Since Pereyda joined the company in March of 2008, he has been responsible for negotiating with Japanese production companies and licensors to acquire titles for Crunchyroll's streams. In a message sent on Tuesday, Pereyda said that he "wouldn't be leaving if things weren't so strong" for Crunchyroll and added that he will "look for more exciting things to come in the near future" from the site. He did not mention his own future plans.
Pereyda was previously a founder and director of the Anime Overdose convention (now known as AOD or Animation on Display) in Northern California. He also worked at CAPCOM and Konami before Crunchyroll.
Update: Rob's spelling corrected. Thanks, clipeuh.
