So it took them 16 episodes to tell the first five volumes (15 1/2 if yo delete the false end to the TV finale) and now they get 12 more episodes to finish the final seven volumes?

I'm not sure I can be said to be "excited". I enjoyed the show, but it had one really major flaw- pacing. The whole series shot from one story point to the next with little regard to detail in order to get everything. Only the OVA was well paced. And now, unless I've misunderstood the amount of scheduled episodes, it gets less time to cover more story?

hmmmm.

I'm looking forward to this as well. I'll admit that I have no knowledge of the light novels, but I thought the pacing of the first season was fine. For this type of show, I'd err on the side of making the pace brisk.

Can't wait to see Kirino and Kuroneko reunited. And hopefully we'll see Tall Glasses Otaku Girl in her prettier form.

I don't remember hearing anywhere where it was said that this would only be 12 episodes. Maybe it will be longer in order to properly cover the remainder of the novels. Either way, have been really looking forward to this one.
