Since Oda is involved with the story, the game should have been called "One Piece Game: Odyssey" like how the movie's he's involved with are called "Film". With all due respect, Nami has caught my attention.

Kinda interesting to me, how much like a Dragon Quest (11 specifically) game this looks. Be it the monster designs, the open world, and pretty much everything, really.

Perhaps the search for a good one piece game is finally coming to an end. Hope to see it dubbed although I'll play in Japanese.

Definitely looks like Dragon Quest x One Piece, especially the Nami puff-puff battle scene. Glad to be getting a non-musou One Piece game. Hopefully it turns out good.

I thought the Unlimited Cruise games were good. I doubt it will have a dub, none of these have been dubbed since that one Funimation released back on the Wii.

Apparently ILCA worked on Dragon Quest 11 so it's accurate.

Apt comparisons to DQ11. I wonder if they could be using the same engine or just made something similar?

Looks like its built ontop of Elden Ring, which honestly is amazing.

Unreal Engine 4 is a commonly used engine.

I just hope they don't fudge this up, World Seeker was utter trash after all (different developer, I know). Dragon Ball Z Kakarot has shown that you can make a fun anime open world action rpg, even if it was a bit simple.

A turn-based One Piece game? Interesting.

Would be nice if it got a dub but just never know with Bandai Namco. Usually I don't expect it but My Hero One's Justice 2 returned the FUNimation cast. Although I'm sure a fighter isn't as expensive to dub as a RPG.

Yes, that's the base, but I'm curious if they've taken all the tools/resources etc made for DQ 11 and are using it in this game (which is why it looks so familiar) or if it's just more of a coincidence.
Maybe engine was the wrong word in this case, perhaps middleware?
