Ah, this is one of those titles that completely slipped past my radar until I saw this.
While it sounds like it may not be particularly groundbreaking in regards to the BL elements, I think I'll look into it primarily for the mystery/horror ones. To start with, mixing genres and not strictly being a romance is always a plus.

I really enjoyed Go For It Nakamura, and even though this title is so drastically different, I'm thinking about picking it up. I really like the 80s/90s Rumiko Takahashi feel Syundei's art has, so I may even read it just for that.

Is this the actual title translated or was someone on some Bonnie Tyler kick?
Yes, this comic is definitely has a very late 80's early 90's aesthetic. Ranma? Huh, more like 3x3 Eyes. Key aesthetic BANGS!!
I may check this out later in the year just to see what it's about.

I liked most of it, and I get that what I took issue with is basically the central conceit of the whole thing, but I can't help sighing whenever I see gay adults acting predatory/pedophilic. That just feels like an outdated stereotype that needs to put to pasture (although yes, I am keenly aware that May-December relationships in the gay community were (are?) a thing.)

I thought the premise of this was really good, but at the same time I wish it was stretched into like a 3-5 volume series instead of just being the 1 (or 6 chapters, w/e). The yaoi didn't put me off since I enjoy reading yaoi, and I was excited to pick up something that mixed yaoi in with horror/mystery, my other favourite genre. I just felt like there was more room for growth in terms of pacing and the depth of the story. It went a bit fast sometimes and I just felt like I was missing something. But I did enjoy the story.
