and this here more or less proves that the series should have gotten a brand new english dub via kickstarter project. i mean if classic series like sailor moon and escaflowne could get new sub versions, utena should also had gotten one as well.

Sailor Moon's dub was woefully edited, though. Even though some people dislike the Utena dub's voices, the script is near-exact to the sub's. Or in other words, the Utena dub isn't inherently inferior or wrong in any way, it's just not very popular. So making a new dub isn't much of a priority.
(Personally I like the Utena dub's stilted rhythmic delivery much more than "normal" acting you'd see on live-action shows. It fits Utena's pacing and style. But I'm one of the only people who like it this much.)

im actually talking about the viz media version of SM. NOT the massively americanized DIC/Cloverway versions.
also that might be the case about utena's dub, but considering on massively inferior those dubs were in those days compared to the current ones. i would say more or less that utena does indeed deserved a new english dub version. double for like say card captor sakura.

Oh I know what dub you meant, I'm just saying that the older dub's problems was the REASON why the Viz dub exists, to fill the "accurate sailor moon dub" hole.

I understand the dub is inferior to the sub, but there are other shows which are more in need of a re-dub, Ranma ½ for example.

i think you mean the other way around.
however you wont hear me disagree about ranma 1/2. however that series insteads needs to get a brand new tv series faithful to the manga ala SM Crystal & FMA Brotherhood instead of a re-dub.

Thats really unrealistic, its nothing like the situation of Sailor Moon and Escaflowne. Many consider those old dubs bad(myself included) but that is not why they were redubbed.
Utena isn't massive like those & I don't think creating a new dub will make a profit. It doesn't need a new dub, its only one of many anime with bad dubs and it will stay that way with only a few exceptions on huge titles that actually require a new dub.
